City		(check.) An area of land, possibly on a single land title. May cover a small area (such as 1km x 1km),

			or a larger area including normal houses, e,g 10km x 20km




State		A defined area of land, the foundation political entity (i.e. makes laws without

			reference to any other area)



Country		A defined area of land, along with a group of people, possibly made up of several states.

		Laws are made at this level, along with state and local laws.

		A system of land titles or land boundries would normally apply to a whole country.



Union		A group of countries under a central authority



town		A collection of shops and houses, each on a separate land title

			town council generally made up of local businesses, organises

			rubbish collection, street lights, festivals etc.



continent	A large area of land with more than one country on it



roaming people	Groups of people living on large land areas, e.g. the monguls in central/northern china, 
			
			asian continent
 


nation		A defined group of people, generally 1 million or more (chk.)
